Hi, I’m Eunju! Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I now live in Texas with my husband, two daughters, and our German Shepherd, Lucy. I graduated from Hongik University with a degree in Art History and Theory, and worked on the university’s video team handling video production and 2D/3D design.
In 2014, my family and I moved to the U.S., where I began teaching art classes to children of various ages. But when the pandemic hit in 2019, I couldn’t continue teaching in person, so my friends suggested I try creating custom pet portraits online—and that’s how my pet art journey began.
As I connected with clients and heard their stories, I realized how meaningful this work could be. The deep bonds people share with their pets, and the heartfelt reviews from customers moved by their portraits, made me appreciate the impact of my art in a way I hadn’t expected. It made me fall even more in love with what I do. To date, I’ve created over 1,000 pet portraits, and the most common compliment I receive is how well I capture the unique personalities of each pet. I take great pride in creating art that truly touches people on such a personal level.
Like my clients, I understand how special pets are. My own German Shepherd, Lucy, is a constant reminder of the joy, comfort, and unconditional love pets bring to our lives. She’s always by my side, inspiring me to create portraits that reflect the true spirit of every animal.
I work with grayscale colored pencils and markers on watercolor paper, which allows me to create vibrant, rich colors while still maintaining a painterly touch. This technique gives my work a fresh, modern feel while honoring traditional fine art, allowing me to craft something truly special for those looking to capture the soul of their pet.
